Another winter season is upon us! Becky and the fam came out to auditions today, so I wanted to share some photos of the ladies!

Academy DBC - Summer 2006

Ah the fun continued!! All the way to Madison where Liza had to save me (Kerri) from having a breakdown because I got stranded when I missed my connection to Madison due to my first flight being delayed! I arrived the next day just in time to watch the Academy win Division II. The Founders would have won the best dressed and most beautiful staff in drum corps (if they awarded such a thing). Chris Coyoli got the memo on how to dress too. The founders definitely represented but were missing Becky - she was at home ready to have Ms. Taylor. Love you guys!

Ah.....the good ol' times! What a crack up our summers were! So many fun memories. Mattie and I were laughing so hard after the scores were announced one night on tour that we were almost crying. It was all about where we could find the drum major tapes and the Nunamaker Award. :-) Love you guys! Love, Kerri (Ida)

Summer 2006 was an amazing summer. Val and I had the chance to be there when they announced that The Academy was to win Division II World Class Drum Corps Finals. In our hearts, we KNEW our Founders were with us!

OK so since Kerri posted the last founders day I post the previous founders day before that. We had decided to go to breakfast for a change and we decided on the Farm in Phoenix...well I got there early and the Farm was closed till the beginning of Sept (which we could go to now) so Mattie and I made a quick decision to go to Mimi's cafe. Kerri still had Nora in her belly and was not feeling so great she was unable to make it. The rest of the founders were sad but now we have beautiful Nora! Below is an amazing example of my wonderful one handed camera skills...

And I forgot that Liza was super thirsty, she has 3 drinks in front of her!!

September Founders Dinner @ CPK

On Thursday, September 4th, we met at CPK for our monthly dinner. It was Kerri's first chance to have a cocktail since having baby Nora. Kerri and Valerie got the same drink (different flavors), Mattie had a glass of wine in honor of her trip to Sonoma the next day and Liza had a tasty beer! We missed Becky though as she wasn"t able to join us!! At this dinner, we decided to take a founders trip to Las Vegas in May of 2009. Watch out VEGAS!
